Dhanurasana is a fantastic posture of opening the heart. However, it is also one of those postures we tend to struggle with.

Do you feel stuck in this posture? Like there is nothing you could possibly extend or nowhere you can find space?

In this video below I offer a few tips and ideas of other types of postures that can help you create more length and extension through the front body, which will ultimately help you to open your shoulders and open your heart!

It’s important to remember that you won’t see results unless you practice these postures regularly. Introduce the low-lunges into your sun-salutations (B variation) to give yourself a deeper quadriceps stretch and psoas release.

Tomorrow’s full moon is in the sign of Aries, but it is conjunct with Chiron, an asteroid that orbits our solar system, known to Astrologers as “the wounded healer.”

The asteroid called Chiron entered the sign of Aries back in February of 2019 and will remain in this sign until April 2027! Chiron, in Greek Mythology, is a healer, teacher and mentor. Whereas Aries is the ultimate warrior.

So this is a time to open your heart and ask yourself, “What do I want to fight for that needs healing within myself and within the world?” We are entering a period of deep healing and transformation.

In this video I offer some gentle restorative positions that you can hang out in, and feel the inner release of your heart opening. This can bring more awareness and healing to your deep childhood wounds that are centered around shame, ego, and desire.

It’s time to let go of these old patterns that effect your present reality, face your fears, and confront what’s holding you back. Embrace the power that is you-here-now.

The healer resides within.
